WHAT IS PVC ROOFING?

Made from polyvinyl chloride (or in layman’s terms, plastic), PVC is a great single-ply roofing solution. It’s made from a lower percentage of oil and petroleum than thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) or ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM).

WHAT IS PVC ROOFING USED FOR?

Because PVC roofing is exceptionally strong and durable, it can last for more than 20 years. This is one of the primary advantages of this type of roof. This can help you to save a considerable amount of money on expensive repairs and maintenance.

This type of roofing membrane is remarkably strong due to its heat-welded seams that create a watertight bond that’s even stronger than the membrane itself. As a result, PVC roofing doesn’t have to depend on tapes, adhesives and caulks for sealing its seams as other types of roofing systems do.

With that in mind, PVC roofing is highly suitable for flat roofs but due its flexibility is highly adaptable to a number of different roof types.
